Once you are done with changing the settings, you will have to wait for at least 24 hours for the changes to take effect. Bear in mind that when you do tap on the ‘last seen’ option, you will be presented with many scenarios as explained below:

• The default option available is the ‘everyone’ option which is selected will mean that you are allowing everyone view your WhatsApp last seen timestamp. ‘Everyone’ in this instance includes both people in your contact list as well as those who are not on your contact list.

• The ‘My Contacts’ option means that your WhatsApp Last Seen Timestamp will be only visible to your contacts.

• The ‘Nobody’ option, on the other hand, is for those who wish for everyone, regardless of if it’s a person in their contact list, a friend or family member not to see their WhatsApp last seen timestamp. When you select this option, you will be completely disabling your the last seen status for your WhatsApp account. So, nobody will be able to view your WhatsApp Last Seen Timestamp. Besides hiding your WhatsApp last seenchecker, you may also wish to make preferences as to who can view your profile picture and who cannot. If you want to play around with this feature, you will have to visit the privacy page (same as when you are hiding your last seen timestamp) and proceed to make changes as to who may view your profile picture and who may not. Once again, you may choose between the three options of contacts, everyone and nobody as is the case for the hiding the Timestamp scenario.
